Description

About Campfire

Campfire is a next-gen core accounting platform built for modern mid-market finance teams. We’re building the future of ERP by replacing outdated systems and manual accounting processes with an AI-native platform that helps finance teams move faster and operate more efficiently.

About the role

Customer proof is Campfire's most persuasive marketing, and you'll own all of it. You'll build the customer marketing engine from the ground up, which includes a steady flow of case studies and proof points, a reference and advocacy program sales can lean on, a review-site strategy, and management of our customer community including our customer advisory board. Every team in Marketing and Sales will come to you, so you'll prioritize ruthlessly and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the case-study and proof-point program: source candidates with Customer Success and Sales, run interviews, write and produce stories in multiple formats, and maintain a searchable proof library with quantified outcomes.
  • Own the customer reference program: recruit, tier and manage advocates; run the reference request process for Sales; track usage and protect customers from being over-asked.
  • Build and run the advocacy and community program: manage Campfire's customer Slack community day-to-day and run an in-person community program (meetups, dinners, advisory boards), alongside speaking opportunities, peer-to-peer events, and recognition that keeps advocates engaged.
  • Nominate and submit customers for industry awards and recognition programs, and manage the submission process end to end.
  • Own review-site strategy and execution on G2, Capterra and peers: review generation campaigns, profile management, badges and report placement, and using review data in sales and marketing.
  • Produce customer video and testimonials with the Content / Storytelling team, from short social clips to full stories captured at events.
  • Supply proof points for launches and campaigns to Product Marketing, Growth, Brand and Field; support customer speakers at Corporate Events.
  • Measure impact: reference wins influenced, review volume and rating, proof coverage by segment and use case, advocate satisfaction.
  • What you'll bring
  • 4+years in B2B marketing, with direct ownership of a reference, case-study, or similar customer-facing program.
  • Excellent interviewing and writing; you draw out specifics and quantify results.
  • Experience running review-site programs on G2 or Capterra and an understanding of how buyers use them.
  • Empathy for customers and a service mindset toward Sales and Customer Success; you protect relationships while still hitting targets.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management across many parallel requests.
  • Comfort producing video (briefing, on-camera interviews, working with editors) even if you don't edit yourself.

Requirements

  • Experience with advocacy and reference platforms (UserEvidence, Influitive, ReferenceEdge or similar) and G2 Buyer Intent.
  • Experience building a program from zero at a scaling company.
  • Event experience: customer speaker coordination and on-site capture.
  • Comfortable hosting and presenting to CFOs and senior finance leaders, including running our customer advisory board.
