The company is hiring a TS/SCI cleared Cloud & Systems Engineer, a full-time regular role in Information Technology, to support an Air Force customer at Warner Robins AFB, GA or Langley AFB, VA.

You will sit on the Enterprise Product Support team for AF DCGS and help shape future system transitions, including cloud modernization.

The work centers on designing, architecting and engineering cloud solutions that are resilient, secure and highly available, using best practices.

TS/SCI clearance is required before start.

Responsibilities

  • Help build enterprise cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies that fit mission needs, cost, scalability and security goals.
  • Take part in technical exchanges that weigh options for migration, modernization and system integration.
  • Design and build secure IaaS and PaaS cloud environments, mainly on AWS.
  • Bring shift-left security into the work by partnering with cybersecurity and DevSecOps teams.
  • Review legacy and current applications for cloud readiness and advise on how to deploy them.
  • Design automated, resilient ways to store and archive audit and security data that meet NIST standards.
  • Write clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams and system designs.
  • Work with cross-functional engineering teams and government stakeholders and keep communication clear.

Requirements

  • Hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Hold a BS in a STEM-related field, or substitute 5 years of additional experience for the degree.
  • Hold a DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
  • Hold one or more cloud vendor certifications, or CompTIA Cloud+.
  • Have experience working on an Agile team.
  • Have experience using a DevSecOps framework to build solutions.
  • Preferred: 3+ years working with cloud service providers, with AWS preferred.
  • Preferred: Experience working with Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code (CaC).
  • Preferred: Experience with programming languages, preferably Python.
  • Preferred: Experience using JSON and YAML for automation and configuration.

Conditions

Work on site at Warner Robins AFB, GA or Langley AFB, VA.

Expect travel of up to 10% within the continental US.

Pay depends on factors such as location, government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior experience, skills, education and certifications.

Because the role can be done from more than one location, the posted range is the national average.

The planned pay band runs from $82,100 to $172,400.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support and continuing education benefits.
