Cloud Application Engineer

Description

The team builds and runs secure, scalable hosting environments on commercial cloud platforms for NSA missions.

This is a full-time, regular role with no travel. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required to start.

You will work with current cloud technology on hard technical problems, serving a broad enterprise user base.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain secure hosting environments on commercial cloud platforms for NSA missions.
• Build, install, integrate, run, secure, test, and maintain cloud service provider solutions across the enterprise.
• Support network fabrics end to end: cloud operations, help desk requests from customers, software migration and integration, testing, documentation, security, monitoring, and release and configuration management.
• Provision, run, and support network infrastructure that uses PKI, IPSEC, SDN, and VPN.
• Design and manage networks built for secure, highly available operation.
• Assess, integrate, and roll out newer cybersecurity tools such as DNS services, routing, load balancers, data flow systems, auditing tools, HIDS/NIDS, antivirus, and similar technologies.

Requirements

• Required: an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Required: 8+ years of relevant experience along with a bachelor's degree.
• Education and experience can substitute for each other as follows, provided all of it is in a relevant technical field and all degrees or certificates come from accredited institutions.
• 12+ years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or GED.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with an associate's degree.
• 6+ years of relevant experience with a master's degree.
• 4+ years of relevant experience with a doctorate.
• Required: proficiency in Python.
• Required: hands-on experience with AWS.
• Required: strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Desired: experience with Azure.
• Desired: familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Conditions

Full time, regular employee, with no travel required.

Final salary depends on factors including geographic location, federal government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.

The proposed salary range is $103,800 - $218,100.
