Description

The company is a robotics research and deployment firm that builds general-purpose robot hardware and the AI that runs it. Only about one in ten American factories and warehouses has a single robot, and robots are barely present in homes or businesses yet, which the company wants to change.

Its semi-humanoid robot has dexterity close to a human's. Its other robot handles heavy lifting, moving boxes, pallets, and bulk goods for customers ranging from family-owned manufacturers to major global brands.

The robots are built at scale and run as a connected fleet, so every unit's experience helps train the AI for the whole network.

The company was founded at MIT and is based in Watertown, MA. Its team of more than 160 designs and builds hardware, trains its own models, works directly with customers of all sizes, and maintains deployed robots across the United States. The team is made up of researchers, engineers, technicians, operators, and sellers.

The long-term aim is robots in many places, improving living standards across North America and eventually worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • You will be the company's first Applied AI Engineer dedicated to go-to-market, building the systems that help it find, win, and expand customers in the physical economy.
  • You will redesign processes and build the software behind them, including full workflows, tools, and AI agents, rather than only configuring existing products.
  • You will work as a full member of the go-to-market team alongside account executives, sales enablement, and demand generation, and you will own results for that team through the software you build.
  • You will connect go-to-market to the rest of the company's systems, including robot performance and deployment data, the demo center, internal documentation, and the agent platform, so sellers can show customers real results.
  • You will build or rebuild CRM features and data models where off-the-shelf tools do not meet the need.
  • You will create AI agents that handle sales work from start to finish, such as account research, outbound outreach, call preparation, follow-ups, and deal qualification.
  • You will use AI and software to map the company's markets and current penetration across the physical economy, then use that analysis to pick the next steps.
  • You will take over the existing go-to-market tools, keep them running, and extend them as the team and business grow.
  • You will spend time with account executives, join customer calls and trade shows, visit deployments, and identify the next thing to build.
  • You will measure your work by its effect on pipeline, conversion, and seller time.
  • Most of your work will be self-directed: you start from a goal and design the system to reach it, and you will also join the forward-deployed AI engineering team that applies AI across deployment, manufacturing, maintenance, and hardware and software engineering.

Requirements

  • You have designed and shipped a complete system, such as a product, internal tool, or infrastructure, and can explain the design decisions.
  • You write working code in Python or TypeScript, with SQL and APIs, and use LLMs and AI coding tools daily.
  • You have a technical background plus depth in another area such as product, strategy, operations, sales, or founding a company. Your career path may not be a straight line.
  • You have shown interest in or experience with go-to-market work, such as selling, growth, partnerships, or building for sales teams. A go-to-market job title is not required.
  • You learn quickly, take on unclear problems with little guidance, and want to have a real impact.
  • You want to work inside a business function. This is not a product engineering or research role.
  • Nice to have: experience with operations, manufacturing, logistics, or other industrial customers.
  • Nice to have: experience building go-to-market systems at an early-stage B2B company, ideally in hardware or robotics.
  • Nice to have: experience in technical program management, product management, or as a founder or first hire in a function.
  • Nice to have: experience with data warehouses and BI tools.
