About TD Securities – Global FICC (Fixed Income, Currency, Commodities) Technology
TD Securities is a leading North American investment bank and financial services provider that offers advisory and capital market services to corporate, government, and institutional clients worldwide. We offer a range of services across corporate and investment banking, capital markets, global transaction services, research & strategy and ESG Solutions.
The Global FICC Technology group aims to drive business growth for our partners in the Front-Office, Operations and beyond. We do this with a mandate of delivering innovative new products, expanding our trading tool capabilities and modernizing critical platforms.
Atomic Innovation (FICC Technology) is an exciting, innovative and growing team with the mission of transforming the app landscape across TD Securities. We do this by designing and developing next-gen platforms that produce a tangible impact to all business areas that depend on them. We're a specialized team of builders with a focus on delivering innovative full-stack solutions, but with a deep-rooted passion of crafting beautiful UIs.
As part of the Atomic team, you will build and own a diverse range of products that power our business, spanning multiple business lines. This includes working with our industry-leading Desktop Interop platform or helping to scale our Metals, Energy or FX Trade Automation streams.
We also strive to create a fun, but professional and inclusive work culture here in the Atomic team. In the last year, we have coordinated numerous team socials with activities like bowling, boat cruises, park hangouts and gaming at the local arcade .
Senior Back-End Developer
Atomic – App Innovation & Design
Atomic is building the next generation of trade and workflow automation products for TD Securities’ Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and Commodities businesses. We are looking for a Technical Product Designer who can turn complex, high-value workflows into simple, intuitive products used by front-office and operations teams.
About Atomic
Atomic Innovation is transforming the application landscape across TD Securities.
We are a multidisciplinary team of product designers, engineers, and technology professionals building modern products for some of the bank’s most sophisticated business areas. Our portfolio spans Metals, Energy, Foreign Exchange, FX Options, Fixed Income, and Operations, along with the shared FICC Unified Desktop platform that brings these experiences together.
We work directly with Front-Office Sales & Trading users, Operations teams, and subject-matter experts to understand complex workflows and turn them into products that are simpler, faster, and more intuitive. We value thoughtful product decisions, strong engineering, polished user experiences, and practical solutions that create meaningful value for our users.
The Opportunity
Atomic is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to join the team building Atomic FX. Although the role carries a senior title, it is primarily a hands-on individual-contributor position focused on one product rather than technical leadership across the broader Atomic portfolio.
You will work on Atomic FX alongside more senior developers, front-end engineers, product partners, and Foreign Exchange business users. You will learn the workflows behind the product, contribute to technical discussions, build and support back-end services, and help improve the application as user needs evolve.
You do not need to begin the role as capital markets expert or arrive ready to define the architecture independently. You should be curious about Foreign Exchange workflows, comfortable asking questions, receptive to guidance and feedback, and interested in developing your skills within an experienced engineering team.
