Meet the team!

Preply's B2B segment is a growing vertical, and this is a newly created role to drive its analytical muscle. The hiring manager is stepping into a more manager-facing position working with the VP and leadership, so this role takes full ownership of the analytics area as the technical lead — building the B2B LTV/CAC model from scratch while holding their own directly with senior stakeholders. You'll partner across Product, Ops, Engineering, and the Sales, B2B, and Account Management teams.

About the role:

This is a strategic analytics role at the intersection of product, business, and finance, focused on understanding what drives long-term B2B growth, retention, and unit economics, and turning that into decisions leadership can act on. The mission for the first 6–12 months is less about dashboarding or ad hoc analysis and more about strategic problem solving, long-term business modeling, identifying structural growth levers, and influencing executive decision-making through analytics.

What you’ll be doing:

Build and own the analytical framework leadership uses to evaluate B2B trade-offs, and define the long-term measurement framework that identifies structural growth levers, not just incremental wins

Lead retention and cohort analyses that answer specific open questions from B2B leadership, turning findings into concrete pricing, product, or lifecycle recommendations

Own impact modeling and scenario analysis for major B2B product initiatives, feeding directly into quarterly and annual planning through forecasting, trade-off analysis, and risk assessment

Own metric definitions and governance for B2B, including resolving conflicting definitions across teams and maintaining a single source of truth others are expected to use

Design the experimentation and analytics agenda: what gets tested, how success is measured, and run the analysis that determines whether initiatives actually moved the needle

Partner with Directors and VPs across product, ops, and engineering to shape B2B strategy, mentor senior analysts to raise the analytical bar, and occasionally extend that work beyond B2B when company-level questions require it

What you need to succeed:

Point to one or more specific decisions (a pricing change, a resourcing call, a roadmap cut) that happened because of your analysis, and one where your recommendation was rejected and you can explain why, in hindsight, that was right or wrong

Have owned a metric or strategic framework other teams were required to use, and resolved a conflict between two teams who each wanted a different definition to win

Understand subscription or marketplace economics well enough to build an LTV or cohort model from scratch, not just interpret one someone else built

Fluent, independent SQL — you are the person other analysts send their code to for review, not the person waiting on review

Have said no to a stakeholder's request because it wasn't the right question, and you've been right to

Have built a forecast or scenario model that a VP used to defend a bet to their own leadership
