Copywriting

Carmichael Lynch is seeking a social-first senior copywriter who has honed in their technical writing craft and creative concepting skills with proven results for clients. Our next senior writer will work on our second largest creative client account (telecommunications – Social AOR client), focusing on all things social: campaigns, TV extensions, OLV, beautifully crafted static, activations, influencers, and more. We are focused on hiring a candidate who has their ear to culture, entertainment/celebrity, sports, and the latest TV/movies. It’s crucial that this candidate can execute a high level of craft while knowing when to strike with a chronically-online, brainrot meme. We are bridging the gap between highly produced traditional advertising with the fast-moving world of social media.

At CL, we expect our senior creatives to set the standard for both the work and the way we work with one another. Senior creatives are seasoned, independent operators who function as multi-faceted, multi-talented teammates that excel on any project while driving team culture. They also know how to manage their time, capacity, and know when to raise their hand for support.

At the senior level at Carmichael Lynch, we’ll foster an environment where you should be making not only the best work in the building, but the best work of your career.

Responsibilities

  • Concept Development: Lead ideation in collaboration with creative, social strategy, brand planning, and production to create a high volume of on-brand and relevant content across platforms (Instagram, X, TikTok, Snap, Reddit, Facebook). This candidate must have proven experience with concepting and executing big ideas across social-first platforms in addition to traditional advertising.
  • Campaign and Content Execution: Develop and execute breakthrough social-first creative campaigns that seamlessly tie entertainment, culture, and social media trends. Write and produce high-quality static and motion content both on teams and independently.
  • Executional Excellence: Ensure the highest level of craft in the execution of all creative assets, from voice/tone, to visual composition, to final production, paying attention to detail, quality, consistency, and always pushing the brief.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay up-to-date with social/entertainment trends, industry trends, and AI technology while translating these insights into breakout brand moments.
  • Brand Stewardship: Maintain and evolve the brand’s written and visual identity, ensuring that all creative work is aligned with the entertainment brand’s brand guidelines, social playbook, and voice while pushing creative boundaries.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior/mid-weight creatives, providing feedback, direction, and support to cultivate an environment of growth and creativity.
  • Client Engagement: Present work directly to clients and maintain professional client communication to understand their needs and translate feedback effectively.
  • This role requires annual travel as-needed with internal teams and clients for production.
