Department Overview

At Motorola Solutions we are helping solve some of the biggest challenges around safety and physical security by developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products that are used to help keep people, businesses, and cities around the world safer. Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.

Supplier Development engineering support Suppliers, EMS Electronic Manufacturing Solutions, DC Distributions Center, and Repair Quality. This particular role would be onsite at our Warsaw or Krakow facility.

The primary responsibility of the Repair Quality Engineer is to own and manage various aspects of quality, effectively and efficiently for Motorola Solution’s Repair Operations. Using proven methodologies, the Repair Quality Engineer will, as a subject matter expert during the repair process ensuring quality throughout the process and ultimately are the voice and advocate of our customers.

Reporting to the Make/Deliver Quality Manager, the Repair Quality Engineer will work very closely with global quality teams from various plants nationally and internationally. This role will also work closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Technical Support, Service and Order Management teams during day to day operations.

The Repair Quality Engineer will be improving our overall quality performance of the Repair Centers in Germany and Poland for our LMR and Video product Line. Our Repair Quality Engineer will help review and optimize our Key responsibilities included below:

o Initiate detailed quality plans to identify and define quality related goals for the project that effectively addresses the expectations of the customer and deliverables.

o Facilitate and lead all cross functional activities to effectively address qualification and quality events, utilizing an 8D methodology to drive issues to effective and timely resolution.

o Drive resolution of complex multi-disciplinary problems/customer complaints using JIRA tool and using an 8D methodology throughout issue investigation to drive high customer satisfaction.

o Champion design and manufacturing improvements based on return data analysis trends to reduce Customer Bounce metric and enhance the customer experience.

o Develop, maintain, and report on product quality Metrics/KPIs relating to stated Goals and Objectives.

o Prepare and present quality performance results on a regular basis to senior Supply Chain and Design Engineering leadership.

o Manage quality performance of all EMEA Repair centers by monitoring KPIs and when necessary, initiating requests for Corrective Actions.

Basic Requirements

o Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with prior working experience in quality.

o At least 3 years experience in either supply chain, manufacturing, or repair operations.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in usage of quality tools (8D, DFMEA, CPK). Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

o Certification in quality assurance, or Six Sigma belt holder is a plus.
