Marketing Design Lead

Why this role

Firstwork is judged on how it looks the moment it reaches someone. A deck in a meeting with a senior client. A one-pager forwarded to a decision maker. In each of these moments, the work has to match the quality of the company behind it, and that standard needs an owner.

That is this role. You lead marketing design at Firstwork and own the visual standard of everything the company puts in front of the market. It is a brand and marketing role, not a product design one, and it is hands-on. You lead the standard by producing the work yourself, not by directing others, and you work closely with the founders and the marketing team, with the room to take your own calls and hold the line on quality without being asked.

Responsibilities

• You lead marketing design at Firstwork and own the full surface, end to end.
• Presentations and enablement. Much of our business runs through decks: sales, partnerships, and investment. Alongside them, the one-pagers, case studies, and product materials the team uses to win and keep business, and this is where craft is noticed first
• Our website runs on Webflow, and you design and extend it as we grow, keeping the identity consistent across new pages and campaigns
• Events and campaigns. The look and the materials for the moments where our work meets the market, in person and online
• Motion and video. Product explainers, short films, and social content, where motion is used to make something clearer, not for its own sake
• Brand consistency. You keep the identity coherent across every surface, and you evolve it with care rather than diluting it
• The standard. You are the reason the quality of everything we publish rises and stays high

Requirements

• A hands-on foundation in graphic design and, ideally, illustration, so you produce the finished work yourself and do not depend on someone else to turn your ideas into the final output
• Production range. You can take a piece from idea to finished output across presentation, print, digital and motion, without a drop in quality
• A strong command of typography, layout, color and hierarchy. You build and hold a visual system rather than simply decorate
• An editorial, considered sensibility, comfortable in a direction that sits closer to art and print than to typical software design
• A clear point of view you can defend, taking direction from good judgment rather than ego
• Dependable and fast, including against fixed deadlines, with nothing unfinished or careless leaving your desk
• Open to feedback, giving and taking it honestly in service of the work
• Fluency with the modern design stack. Figma at the center, with the motion and web tools the work needs, and we will ask to see how you work
