The Director of Worldwide Marketing Data Strategy & Analytics , you will lead the strategy, measurement frameworks, data foundations, and analytical capabilities that enable Autodesk to understand and optimize Enterprise marketing’s impact on customer and business outcomes. You will lead a global team of data strategists and analysts responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights, predictive intelligence, and decision-support capabilities across the enterprise marketing funnel and broader go-to-market ecosystem.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Worldwide Marketing Business Insights & Analytics and plays a critical role in advancing Autodesk’s journey toward audience-centric customer experiences and data-driven commercial decision-making. You will partner closely with Marketing and Go-to-Market leadership and across analytics and technology domains, including Sales, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Marketing Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Marketing Data & Analytics Strategy: Own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and adoption of marketing analytics, measurement frameworks, and intelligence capabilities, partnering with Marketing leadership to translate business priorities into scalable analytical solutions for Enterprise Marketing.
  • Lead a Global Analytics Team: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing global team of data strategists and analysts, providing strategic direction, hands-on guidance, and opportunities for talent growth.
  • Drive Business Performance Intelligence: Monitor and analyze business performance to identify emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable levers for Marketing, including early indicators of pipeline performance and opportunities to improve business outcomes.
  • Define Marketing Measurement & Attribution Strategy: Partner with Sales and Marketing leaders to establish measurement principles, KPIs, conversion definitions, attribution methodologies and windows, incrementality approaches, and other frameworks for evaluating marketing effectiveness and connecting marketing investment to customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Drive Marketing Effectiveness & Investment Optimization: Integrate attribution, incrementality, experimentation, marketing mix modeling, and predictive analytics to identify performance drivers and inform resource allocation across audiences, channels, campaigns, and programs.
  • Establish Analytics-Ready Data Foundations: Define the business and analytical requirements for foundational marketing data structures, including data models, taxonomies, event structures, identity resolution, campaign hierarchies, and governance required to reliably connect marketing activity with customer and business outcomes.
  • Advance AI-Powered Analytics & Decisioning: Partner across Data Engineering, Data Science, Enterprise AI/ML, Marketing Technology, and Marketing to build scalable, governed capabilities that enable AI agents to generate insights, identify opportunities, recommend and optimize decisions, and orchestrate marketing actions with appropriate human oversight.
  • Drive Adoption & Executive Decision Support: Translate complex analytical findings into clear business implications and recommendations, enabling leaders to understand what happened, why it happened, what is likely to happen next, and what actions should be taken.

Requirements

  • To be successful in this role, you have:
  • 10+ years of professional experience with significant domain expertise in B2B marketing, sales, go-to-market, or customer analytics.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience managing and developing technical and analytical talent, preferably across global or distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and operationalizing marketing measurement strategies, including attribution, incrementality, experimentation, marketing mix modeling, funnel measurement, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Strong understanding of modern marketing and customer data foundations, including data models, customer and contact identity, campaign and event taxonomies, cloud data platforms, and business intelligence environments.
  • Experience applying predictive analytics, data science, and AI/ML-enabled capabilities to business and marketing problems, with an understanding of the data, governance, and measurement foundations required to support AI-powered analytics and decisioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business questions into analytical frameworks, measurement approaches, data requirements, and actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to communicate with and influence senior non-technical stakeholders while establishing strong partnerships with Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, Marketing Technology, and other technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering across Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Success, and other Go-to-Market functions to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear strategic implications, recommendations, and decisions.
  • Ability to lead multiple strategic priorities in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment while maintaining high standards for analytical rigor, quality, and business impact.
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or another quantitative or relevant field; advanced degree preferred but not required.

Conditions

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $153,000 and $273,460. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
