MRM is looking for an Associate Art Director with a sharp design eye and the ambition to make award-winning work. You'll partner with copywriters to turn briefs into ideas, and turn those ideas into finished, on-brand creative across digital, print, direct mail, CRM, social, and OLV. This is a role for someone who has the fundamentals down and wants to grow. You'll own your work, take direction well, and learn how work gets sold by watching senior creatives present it. We want a team player who understands we all win together.

Responsibilities

  • Design and art-direct across channels: email and CRM, direct mail, digital display, social, print, OLV, and occasionally broadcast
  • Apply strong fundamentals in composition, typography, and color, including when refining and finishing AI-assisted visuals to agency standards
  • Concept and develop ideas with copywriters, from first brainstorm through final execution
  • Collaborate with account, strategy, social, and UX teams to bring ideas to life
  • Support new business pitches
  • Take feedback constructively and turn it around quickly
  • Shadow senior creatives in client presentations and internal reviews
  • Manage your own workload and deadlines with tight quality control on everything you send out

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of design or art direction experience, or a standout portfolio if you're just out of school
  • A portfolio that shows strong ideas and strong craft (personal projects and school work welcome)
  • Fluency in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • A point of view on typography, photography, and color
  • Interest in both online and offline media, and in learning the specifics of CRM and direct
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Bonus points for hands-on experience with generative AI tools as part of a design workflow.
